A dog, named Belle, looks permanently surprised after her was born with a birth defect.
The doberman cattle-hound cross, was born with the muscles in her head stretched back which leaves her looking shocked or surprised.
Owner Lieschen O’Connor, 38, who is from from Tyler, Kansas, adopted Belle in 2017 from Lawrence Humane Society.
Which is an organisation, which provides care for homeless and abused animals.
Belle’s condition doesn’t cause her any pain but Lieschen regularly needs to apply eye drops as they often get a little dry.
The dog’s unique look has won her over 160,000 followers on TikTok with many commenting on Belle’s distinct look.
One comment said ‘her expressions make my heart swell’, while another read ‘She is the cutest dog on TikTok I love her so much’.
Lieschen, a project manager in higher education, said: ‘She is gentle with other animals and great with kids. ‘
He continued: ‘Belle is extremely sweet and a little goofy. If dogs could laugh, Belle would definitely laugh a lot!
‘If people meet her in person, they usually comment that she is beautiful and has an expressive face. ‘People online tend to either think Belle is the cutest pup ever.’
