Monica Mitreanu, a dog rescuer from Romania, has been rescuing dogs for a long time. She was, however, shocked during one of her most recent rescues involving a dog named Priscilla, writes ilovemydogsomuch.
Monica discovered Priscilla in an extremely abusive situation in which she had been tortured and repeatedly beaten since she was a puppy.
When Priscilla was brought to the Breasta-Craiova shelter, it turned out to be yet another traumatic experience for her. When she saw humans, the poor dog’s heart skipped a beat and she dashed to a corner to hide. Monica was heartbroken when she realized Priscilla’s instinctive reaction to humans had become fear.
In this video, Monica approaches Priscilla with caution in an attempt to calm her down. When Monica touches the terrified dog, she becomes even more agitated. We can see the pain and despair in her eyes as she screams and shouts in desperation, begging Monica to “spare her.”
Monica, on the other hand, is determined to help Priscilla overcome her fear. The dog gradually recognizes her rescuer’s genuine and loving touch and sobs in her arms. This video ripped our hearts out. Nobody has the right to abuse defenseless animals and get away with it. Let us take a stand and tell her abuser that they will be held accountable for their actions!
