* Archaeologists in India believe they may have discovered the oldest depiction of celestial objects in a mysterious example of ancient rock art.
* The stone was found at the Burzahom archaeological site in the Indian valley of Kashmir.
Unearthed in a 1969 excavation, the stone has baffled archaeologists ever since due to its enigmatic depiction of what appears to be two large objects in the sky, possibly twin suns, twin moons, or perhaps two ships?
The notion that an advanced civilization was lost and left traces at the dawn of time is extremely threatening to conventional archaeology, as it could topple its foundations and bring its entire discipline to the ground.
Some specialists suggest that the ancient Petroglyph of India could actually be the oldest celestial map in the world and would include the representation of a supernova.
A new study claims that the mysterious carving may represent a supernova that occurred around 4500 BC.
Could Burzahom’s engraving be the record of an ancient astronomical event, or is there something weirder here?
The drawing on the rock seems to show two hunters approaching a deer with the help of a dog under two large luminous orbs in the sky.
Astrophysicist Mayank Vahia, of the Tata Institute for Fundamental Research in Mumbai, published the supernova theory after cross-referencing astronomical records with radiocarbon dating of various objects found at the Burzahom archaeological site.
The two objects in the rock art appear to have the same brightness and appear side by side, disproving the theory of some researchers that they suggest it could represent the Sun and the Moon.
Vahia, on the other hand, believes that one of the orbs could be the moon, while the other could be an extremely bright supernova that rivaled the brightness of the moon at that time.
In a recently published study of the stone, Vahia concludes that
“It’s just the remnant of Supernova HB9 that exploded around 4500 BC with a brightness comparable to the Moon.”
Vahia goes on to speculate that the two hunters in the image might not be hunters at all, but rather “represent” the constellations Orion and Pisces, while the animals represent Taurus and the Andromeda galaxy.
Rather, they represent the constellations Orion and Pisces, while the animals represent Taurus and the Andromeda galaxy.
If this theory is confirmed, it would mean that the ancient Burzahom people possessed much more advanced astronomical knowledge than archaeological records have previously indicated. Could this be an example of ancient astronomical knowledge, could this stone represent something stranger? I don’t know two orb-shaped ships crossing the landscape maybe.
Perhaps two UFOs in the shape of an orb, yes that would be the most rational thing to do.
“The record of the visit of the ancient astronauts who came from a very distant planet”.
Or could they be merely decorative elements that have been misinterpreted by modern researchers?
It can really be whatever you want it to be; In the end, it is up to everyone to believe what they want.
